It gives me some sort of tribal vibes, with it’s heavy and flawed sound, and the use of drums and horns.

#ELDER SCROLLS 6 ANVIL NEXT HOW TO#
I don’t know how to describe this, but I’ll give it a try. I’ll just move on straight to my next point.Īnother clue is the music used in the trailer. There are Youtube videos on that topic out there though, if you want to get into that. So I feel like focusing on the peninsulas we see on the right and comparing them to maps is a waste of time. I wouldn’t focus on the geography too much though, since Bethesda showed in the previous titles that they don’t stick to the maps 100%. Maybe that’s Bethesda saying that it’s time to leave Skyrim and go to Hammerfell. So, the terrain fits, the biggest point of interest in that clip fits, what else is there to discover? Notice how at the beginning of the teaser, the camera moves out of a foggy, harsh mountain area? That could just be the outskirts of Skyrim, right next to the border of High Rock. This battle took place in the northern area of Hammerfell. The mage lost control over his powers during the battle, causing a massive explosion and leaving behind a huge crater. See that castle next to the crater? That might just be Azra’s Crossing, named after the infamous shadow mage Azra Nightwielder, who died during a battle with the Redguard military. Now that’s not enough evidence, right? I mean if we only judge this based on the terrain, this might just as well be Rivenspire, which is located in High Rock, but there is another thing ‘hidden’ here. Heading towards Iliac Bay we get to see more plant life though, kind of like what we see in the teaser, which leads me to believe that the coast on the right is actually Iliac Bay. As you may know, Hammerfell is known for it’s deserts, barren lands, and rocky areas. So let’s start with the most obvious reason for why I think this game is going to be set in Hammerfell: The terrain. I’ve finally come to the conclusion that what we saw in the trailer is (probably) Hammerfell. Probably all of you have seen the super short teaser trailer for The Elder Scrolls VI that Bethesda unleashed upon us at the end of their E3 conference, and since then fans all over the world have been speculating which province the upcoming RPG might actually be set in.
